Seed Group

The Toodyay Seed Group is a TFOR subcommittee.
Aims
- To establish seed orchard sites within and around Toodyay to enable seed to be collected for rehabilitation purposes, and to reduce the need for seed to be collected from reserves and road sides
- To administer the Toodyay Native Tree and Understorey Scheme, and to provide Toodyay landholders with local native plants for revegetation projects and gardens within the Shire.

Toodyay Native Tree and Understorey Scheme
The scheme provides landholders within the Toodyay Shire with local native plants for revegetation projects and gardens.
- Plants will be $1.00 for tubes and eremophilas from cuttings grown in large pots are $5 each
- Get your application in before December for pickup at the end of May/early June following year.
- It is important that you identify the property you want to revegetate, the total number plants you require and whether you require trees, large or small shrubs. We will then work out what plants are suitable for you.
- If you have specific plant requirements we will try to source them but cannot guarantee they will be available.
- Getting your order in early usually means that you are more likely to get what you require.
- Please return all pots and trays back to the community shadehouse for re-use.
