Weeds and Feral Animals

A new weed incursion has been discovered below the car park behind Drummond House. Lantana, a WEED OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE (WONS) was spotted by an alert member in July 2021. It has since been removed. It is a timely reminder that we need to stay vigilant when out and about.

Another WONS that we are keeping an eye on is Smallflower tamarisk (Tamarix parviflora). Check it out here in this Northern Territory Government brochure. A photo of Smallflower tamarisk in Toodyay is shown.
